1036m above sea level

Fresh crisp air at 1036m above sea level.

Nothing much has changed after 30 years at this half way jeep station. The undulating land looks the same as the last time i was here with my brothers and my cousin Dean and our mothers. The landscape looks the same minus the pretty flowers that was once flourishing on its slopes. Lost too are the rest houses that served tea and toast. Butter and jam. The new management of the hills must know zit about running a hill station resort. I feel a deep sadness as i surveyed the surroundings i once knew so well even as a 10 year old then.

Mom and i just looked on with fondness and longing and sadness fell over us. The kind you feel deep down knowing something is lost forever. This hill station as we knew it, is lost to us forever.
