Bloemenkiosk

Amsterdam is not just sex, drugs, breads and buns, Dutch babes and loud Ajax fans. They have beautiful flowers too. Their tulips are known the world over. I was not fortunate enough to experience the vastness and beauty of Kuekenhof also known as the greatest flower show on earth. It must be true...especially when one can actually see it from the window of the plane.

Since i did not get to see Kuekenhof i decided to experience their flowers from wherever i could. The planters at the airport, the canal docks, the Rai exhibition centre and just about anywhere.

And when one chooses to see that which is before us, one can be pleasantly surprised at what one may find. I found a couple of sweet little Bloemenkiosk. Very unlike the florist we have here. The Bloemenkiosk exudes a rustic charm that is rather romantic. They are just so pleasing and cosy.

Takes you back in time.
